That scene is a representation of Los Dias De Los Muertos, a very poignant and felt day to celebrate not only the loved ones who have passed, also the living.
It is a good day to celebrate and do ancestral work for those of you desiring deep healing.
If deep healing is not your gig, you can simply pray and symbolically add a plate on your table to remember those in spirit that were close to you. And yes, that includes pet, plants.

You may also add some photos of your loved ones on a special altar that could stay on for the whole month.
Spiritually, the time between end of October and November, is a very special time. The veil between realms of the living and the dead, is believe to be thinner than in any other time of the year, therefore making it easier to connect, reconnect and invite those that have passed. IF you think that someone close to you has not crossed over to “the other side” this is also an excellent time of the year to help them with some psychopomp work (don’t do it yourself, contact someone qualified).
