How to manage the shifts in the planets

Hello Gorgeous Souls,

Welcome to this Cosmicly-packed month of March 2019.

In the first week of the month we have three significant planetary movements: Uranus moving into the zodiac sign of Taurus, Mercury stationing retrograde, a New Moon in the sign of Pisces.

If you are familiar with the philosophy “As above, so below; as within so without” you know that you will feel these transits in your current reality.

You have probably heard of Mercury retrograde already, in fact I have written a blog on planets going retrograde and how it affects us, you can read about it here  so suffice to say that, this time, Mercury will station retrograde on March 5, in the sign of Pisces (29o 39″) where it will stay for approximately three weeks.

We have been in the pre-retrograde shadow period since February 19, so you may have already noticed some slowing down, some ‘glitches’ affecting your communication with others or technical equipment being temperamental. Regardless of the bad reputation that Mercury retrograde is given, my invitation is to look at this period as an opportunity to be more attentive, to review your communication’s patterns, take time to slow down, to stop multi-tasking and become fully present to the here and now.

On March 28, Mercury will station direct again in Pisces (16o 06’) at 18:19 GMT and will end the post-shadow period on April 16, 2019. During the post shadow period, we integrate what happened during the retrograde period; if we do our “homework” well enough we can master the lessons learned during this phase. My invitation is to keep a journal for the whole period and look back at your entries during the post-shadow time.

On March 6, 2019 at 16:03 GMT we have a New Moon in the sign of Pisces (15°46’)

Pisces is a beautiful spiritual and idealistic sign. At the time of the new moon Moon and Sun are conjunct, plus, this month there is another conjunction with the planet Neptune and Vesta, the goddess of the home, the family, hearth, the sacred fire.

The Sabian symbol for 17 o Pisces is “An Easter promenade”, an image of exhibiting oneself at a controlled pace within a social event inspired by feeling renewed, reborn. On a beautiful Easter Sunday all walks of life come together dressed in their best. Rich and poor stroll along the promenade, casually enjoying the return of Spring, watching and greeting one another. On the opposite sign of the wheel we have 17 o Virgo, “A volcano in eruption”, an image of an explosive force breaking free with uncontrolled display. One can live at the foot of a volcano for years, for centuries, unaware of the destructive power that, at any moment may be unleashed. Apply this degree-pair with a mind to a sharp awareness of the appropriate expression of powerful inspirations, the urge to run furiously while everyone else strolls along; the potentially destructive forces of creativity. Be alert to the social capacities of acceptance and tolerance being tested by new, raw, explosive social expressions. Taken from “The Sabian Symbols & Astrological Analysis” by Blain Bovee.

Sun, Moon, Mercury, Neptune and Jupiter are in mutable signs which means we may feel less boundaries allowing us to dream big. That said, the challenge may be to keep our feet on the ground while we dream and we keep honouring Mother Earth while we have our head in the Sky.

The big news of the month is the planet Uranus entering the sign of Taurus on March 6, 2019 at 8:26 GMT.

Uranus is a transpersonal planet, completing the cycle of the zodiac wheel takes Uranus approximately 84 years, making each move incredibly powerful.

As a background information, the well-known planets are organised into the following categories;

Personal planets : Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, they are closer to us and move quite fast.

The impersonal planets: Jupiter and Saturn.

The furthest planets are the transpersonal planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) they move slowly but their impact is profound.

As we move from the personal to the transpersonal planets, according to quantum astrologer Alessandro Pandolfi we move from a world of duality to a world of unity. We distance ourselves from the physical matter and we move into the ether, this is where our journey into the UNI-VERSE really starts.

The archetypes of planets really fascinate me. I recently looked into the mythology of Uranus, as I wanted to understand him more.

So here is a simplified story of Uranus, also called “Father Sky”.

Uranus was the God of Heaven, married to Goddess Gaia, brother of Sea God Pontus.

Together they were living in harmony. Gaia and Uranus had 12 very powerful children, the Titans.

Uranus got scared that his children could conspire against him so he trapped them inside their mother, deep into the earth. Gaia loved her husband but found his behaviour unacceptable, she conspired with one of her son (Cronos) to free her children. Cronos castrated Uranus, his genitals fell into water seeding the birth of Aphrodite. Another great story to be told (in another post).

In astrology Uranus personifies chaos, rebellion, unexpected discoveries, and instability. Uranus represents constant changes that cannot be predicted, he wants us to move away from our prisons to be set free from mainstream society’s looking for originality.

In modern days, Uranus also rules the internet, magnetic fields, telepathy and I suspect massive step forwards will be made in virtual reality. Many more people are awaking too, which is allowing for a faster shift toward a 5-D experience.

Uranus is the genius that create things that were not even in our thoughts, yet Uranus makes them happen without a logical sequence.

My invitation is to go with the flow, do not resist these changes even if they may be uncomfortable.

From an astrological point of view, Uranus moved into Taurus briefly in May 2018 until November 2018 to then move back into Aries.

On March 6, 2019 Uranus will move into Taurus and stay in this sign for the next seven years.

Uranus in Aries may have challenged you to step into your powers, discovering new leadership skills and passions.

Uranus pushes for radical changes while Taurus longs for stability and steadiness. It will be an interesting negotiation between these two to say the least.

I mentioned at the beginning of this long post that the new astrological year is taking place on March 21.

Stay tuned for the next post where I will be writing about the Spring Equinox.

Many blessings,

X Alex
